Vegan (GF) Nutella - Yummmm!

Missing nutella sandwiches? Miss no more with this delicious, simple and healthy version of nutella. Without added sugar, only dates!





Vegan (GF) Nutella Recipe


Prep time: 20 minutes

Total time: 30 minutes

Servings: 3 cups


Ingredients

  • 2 cups raw hazelnuts

  • 2 cups dates

  • 2 tbsp carob powder

  • 1 cup almond milk or more

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • pinch of sea salt


Instructions

  1. Roast hazelnuts at 325 degree (F) for 20 minutes. Shake pan halfway through

  2. Meanwhile soak your dates in 1 cup of hot water

  3. Let the hazelnuts cool down and using a paper towel, shake off the hazelnuts skin

  4. Process the hazelnuts in a food processor for about 5 minutes until it reaches the texture of nut butter

  5. Separately, blend the dates (without the water) in a food processor or a blender until you get a nice paste

  6. Add all the ingredients to the food processor except for the almond milk. Start processing on high and slowly add in the almond milk. Adjust the quantity depending on how thick you want the Nutella to be

  7. Voila! You've got vegan Nutella which you can store in an air tight container to be kept in the fridge. Lasts about 10-14 days.
